Western Philosophy
Insofar as this website seeks to introduce Buddhist concepts, not only directly by traditional routes, but by framing these within a western cultural context, we thought it might be a useful adjunct to this approach to include an introduction to Western Philosophy. We have used as our preliminary basic framework the Wikipedia entries on this subject but will progressively adapt this structure to include those sections which seem to us most relevant to our present endeavours, and moreover utilising as far as possible online resources only (though necessarily the student will be obliged from time to time to refer to more traditional media). We hope that this will prove a helpful and even inspiring support to this investigation.
